It is an extremely reliable and extremely easy-to-use automated identification and selection device for microbial colonies.
PIXL uses the exclusive patented Pinpoint selection technology to automatically capture images from Petri dish to multi-well plate, colony identification, single colony selection, the selection speed can reach 700 colonies per hour, and the accuracy remains nearly 100%! Immediately cut off the PickupLine patented design that has used the tip of the needle to ensure that every colony transfer is sterile, without going through the needle disc cleaning process, reducing the chance of contamination.
Pinpoint technology automatically detects the position of the agar surface before each selection, calculates the needle height and contact pressure, and the accuracy can reach 50um. Even if the agar height is uneven, it can ensure that each colony can be selected correctly.
The PickupLine design invention is the accumulated experience of Singer in the field of microbiology research equipment for more than 30 years. This exclusive invention can automatically provide sterile and disposable needle tips at least 30,000 times without the need for manual replacement or cleaning of the needle disk, greatly reducing the chance of pollution It also reduces the size of the device and does not take up space.
The PIXL system uses scientific-grade color 5 million pixel high-resolution cameras and the exclusive SpectrStar six-channel lighting method (1 white light, 5 channel fluorescent: UV A, UV B, Blue, Cyan, Green). You can get started in 10 minutes. The operation only needs a few steps:
1. Login account-it will store your personal use settings including templates and various parameters.
2. Select the source culture plate-Petri Dish or Plus Plate.
3. Choose the lighting method-white light or 5 types of fluorescent light.
4. Set the detection conditions-the colony size, growth amount, color, fluorescent performance or roundness can be used as the screening conditions to detect the colony to be selected.
5. Select the target culture plate-you can determine the number of colonies copied, the density of dots, the pattern of dots, and the dots to agar or liquid medium.
After the setting is completed, PIXL will start selecting colonies according to your settings. No manual operation is required for the whole process. After the selection, the colony information can be output as a CSV file for subsequent data analysis.
